I want to help make a difference so I have created my very own fundraising page for Melanoma March. I am doing this in memory of my late husband Steven Blake and because I want to raise awareness of the dangers of Melanoma and encourage people to look after their skin.

 

Steve passed away 6 years ago from Stage IV Melanoma. I firmly believe in the research that is taking place to find a cure for people with Stage IV Melanoma. The immunotherapy drugs that are available now as a result of this research are saving and prolonging lives (technologies that I wish were available 6 years ago that could've helped/cured Steve!). I want to see investment in this research continue until something is developed that provides a permanent CURE! I don't want any more lives to be lost prematurely due to lack of awareness about the risks of Melanoma or because the research hasn't gained enough traction due to lack of funding.
