It's been just over 12 months since I was diagnosed with a stage 1, level 2 melanoma. It was a scary time.
In November 2018, I organised for all our team to get their skin checked, including myself...BUT, I was busy and missed the appointment. It wasn't until the following February that I took the time to get my skin checked myself. The spot identified by the doctor as potentially being melanoma was tiny. It hadn't been red or itchy and I hadn't noticed a change...within a couple of weeks, I was in for surgery. Thankfully, they got it all and I now regularly commit to the time to get my skin checked.
Awareness is crucial to saving lives.
I have decided to make a difference by creating my very own fundraising page for Melanoma March. Through here you can easily support my efforts by making a secure donation. All funds raised will go towards a national melanoma research project to save lives. I would also really appreciate it if you could share my page or comment so more people know about it.
